People:12

Duration:4hrs

Tide:3.8m 2up 2down

Weather:warm, sunny , slight west breeze

Bait:crab, lug, rag

Rigs:3 hook flappers

Results:18 flats and 2 bass to size between us, 8 undersize flats

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:if it wasn't so sunny it would have been a perfect day this venue. half an hour before the first few fish turned up. john mcsweeny with a double (39 + 40cm flats), mick maher with a single (41cm) the fish came in drips and drabs and at different distances. graham burke won his first competition of the year with 2 bass (60+58cm, roughly 4lbs each) and a flounder. cliff gallogley finished 2nd with 4 flats, clinton rackman 3rd with 3 flats, me 4th with 3 flats, john mcsweeny ( jonny bass to some who know him) 5th with 2 flats, james kiniry 6th with 2 flats, jamie santry and mick maher made up the rest ( dont have my results book with me while typing so i'm not sure in which order for the last 2). there were 4 blanks. so it looks like the new competition venue worked well enough as 4 guys claim that they lost bass too ( at least 2 had their rod stands knocked over by bites that i witnessed ).

congratulations to dr seafish on another girl by the way!

biggest flat of the day was 43cm, and they averaged around 37-38cm.

looked at the results and jamie santry finished 7th with 2 flats and mick maher finished 8th with 1 flat.
