Well done Mark! That is some Bass! Good to see the Bull Wall still can come up with the goods. I'm sure you put a lot of time in there before that success but it is great to see. Fair play releasing the fish too. A photo and an anglers word is all that is required in my book! Did it fight hard? what sort of winds were blowing that night?

thanks Luke. fish took on a calm evening with little surf. fished right into the whitewater, about 20yards out. nice to feel something swimming out into the bay for a change with the drag humming a merry tune! i gave up on long sessions for these fish, pick a likely time and fish for an hour or two as much as you can. your bound to get one eventually.

What area of the bull wall was it , or is it a secret! The bass fishing in dublin bay is really picking up, my mates uncle had an 8lb bass from red rock while plugging last week and lost a bigger one when trying to pick it up out of the water!

€ 12  What type was it you got! The type I bought for €2 there was the solas reflective tape, only at the start of the year there. Bloody high inflation :P

Tried the bull wall myself for a few hours this morning, near the steps into the city side. Not a sausage, though my frozen crabs were pretty manky.
Tried fishing the dollymount side, nothing either. The swell can take you by surprise there, can't it? Suddenly came outta nowhere!
