Swimfeeders

#1 Post by k »

Just wondering if anybody has ever actually used a freshwater swimfeeder when sea fishing. I have heard the idea mentioned now several times and its in this months Sea Angler, the idea seems sound and it would definitely boost the scent trail, but has anybody used one before?

used one on a few occassions. they do work. similar affect achieved by whipping mackeral pieces to the lead. good for putting mackeral/ squid/ etc. that's passed it- pot them in the blender and freeze in a bag.

friend of mine has used one above his hooklenght while floatfishing. good little trick.

When fishing for mullet using a small bubble float slide a swimfeeder under the flaot above the hooklength via a small snap swivel, fill with mashed bread and bait with breadflake.
