Cushendun Beach

#1 Post by Conor C »

People: spgavin and me

Duration: 11am-2pm

Tide: HT @ 11am

Weather: breezy and sunny

Bait: rag and mack

Rigs: 3 hook clip down and a wishbone rig

Results: blanked

Catch and Release: no fish to release

Report: we went out for a couple of hours this morning to use up the rest of the bait from saturday night no fish caught but when sean was casting his last cast i took my rig off and started to cast with my reel down low and it was soooooooo much better it resulted in longer straighter casts so something good came out of blanking.

Go Conor, go Conor....................... Reel down is the way to IMHO. It makes the rod so much more user friendly. You dont have to use as much power to get the same or more distance....... Just leave enough room so as you can get the reel to work when reeling in.
