Apparently it's one of the best doggie marks around and you can really bag up on a good day. ,

You did better than me Micky, fished it two weeks ago and blanked. Tried the rougher ground up where you park and the sandier areas down at the bend and still nothing

Fished this mark last year in June, but at low water ( dug a few lug).

I didn't get a sniff, so I was probably wasting my time !

I intended returning but found the fishing on Mizen so good that I didn't bother !

A couple of questions :

Is it worth trying a low water ?

What depth is there 100 metres out ?

You're probably better fishing it at Low water. Mackeral, squid and sandeel are the better baits. Athough there is a sandy bank further along the mark where lug might be productive. Its at the end of the Landing Strip. I'll definitely be back there over the summer months. It thows up big huss.
