why does my avaitor keep going

I have changed my avaitor pick but as soon as i do it a few hrs later the image seems to go and i have to re place it again,

any ideas how to stop this

It might be removed because it has a watermark

where is your avatar being hosted?

if you have taken a pic from the url of another site or you are hosting it on a photo sharing site like flickr they are probably stopping the file.
