Bass fishing

#1 Post by Viper »

General Question:

If you had to pick one place in the Dublin region to catch a bass, where would it be? Not looking for exact locations/secret places etc, just a rough idea. Never caught one before and getting fed up trying....

Hi Viper

Read the reports on Red Rock on the southern side of Howth Head and PM some of the posters for more detailed directions...

Cheers. I fish greystones quite regularly, but never see any jumping or anything, and end up catching mackerel instead. I hear the South beach is quite good at times alright but never really tried it before (normally too many tourists and as a result silly questions).
Went to Howth last night but couldn't find the marks mentioned here (other than Lions head, which is a bit of a scary trek if you're not prepared for a good climb), presumably they all involve a lot of walking and climbing to get to the quieter marks...
