Ennereilly 2/3/07
People:Me, Roger de dodger, Marco
Duration:bout 5:30 till 12:15
Tide:Confusted the hell out of me. HW was supposed to be at 11:00 i think.
Weather:Heavy rain to start, then calm and not too cool.
Bait:Lug, mack, squid.
Rigs:2 and 3 hook pats, Baited hooki's for one cast.
Results:5 or 6 Codling, Dog, Dab, Coalie, Good few Whiting
Catch and Release:: Yes/No, kept the big codling for sundays dins
Report:This is just my report i'll let the lads post their own.
Started very nicely with a Dab, on my first cast rod 1, first cast rod 2 brought in a codling and a coalie, of nearly equal size. Another nice whiting followed.Things slowed a bit for nearly half an hour or so and then i got my biggest fish of the night. A nice Codling of about 2-3lb. Loads of small whiting followed, caught on baited howki's. Then i got another codling. Another few small whiting and a small codling kept me going. I tried out a bit further, bout 70 yards and got a doggie. And another codling finished my night. Except for the hermet crab on my last retrevial. All my fish fell to lug in some way, some were tipped with squid n mack but mainly lug.
The fishing died when the sea calmed later in the night. Really enjoyed the night. When the heavy rain stopped it was very pleasant on the beach.
First time out with lads from the forum, really enjoyed it and picked up a few pointers. Still learning so prob pestered the lads with questions, but i did learn alot. Thanks lads much apreciated.
Pics to follow wen i shrink them down. :?

Hi ya Dennis,
Yeah got past the car park for the North Beach and ye would have needed a charter boat to get across it. I fished the North Beach aswell, met Mb3 & Seaniebo by chance on me way down to meet Roger and the lads so I was lazy and didn't go any further down the beach, probably should have, we didn't have much joy with only small whiting, a couple of dogs and a double of small codling for Mark. Not as good a haul as Friday fortnight ago
I was just wondering can you get to the south beach by continuing on the N11 and turning off further on after jack Whites the head north back to enereilly???

Result: 4 whiting, 10 codling (2 2lb's rest 1 or less) and 1 rockling.
One of the two 2lb codling caught on a trace that had snapped of and caught again.
Tackle: 3 hook flapper/ Pennel/ 1 up 1 down and tried for flats with flattie rig but no joy.
Bait: Lug and peeler
All but 1 whiting, that washed up after an hour, went back.
