Is there somewhere to catch/get fresh mackeral close by? I assume this is the only bait to use?

Enjoy guys - I'll be bassing in Clare so won't be there (I'm praying that the wind kicks up - the surf beaches are like feckin' ponds at the moment).

You could perhaps stop in Wexford on the way down, and get mackerel in Meylers beside the Bull Ring.

In short - no tope. Weather had started to break mid afternoon :( so wasn't as pleasant as it had been for the previous 2 weeks. There was Coaster, Seaniebo, Don and myself. Quite a few doggies, and sean got a few smooth hound. Kevin had a few smut from more or less the same spot as Sean the previous night, with one small tope too, I believe.
