Smashing fishing Dan, well done!
Determined Dan wrote: A 37cm flounder best one for me so far . It was swollen from lug worm .
Just to let you know that the fish was swollen with Milt or Roe. When you check them, you can see that they will be very fat in the belly, but also the extra bulge will extend from the belly to near the tail. This is the milt or roe sacks.
Flounder feed hard at this time of year as they are trying to put on weight and condition before they head off shore to spawn.

That mark will be a good one to hit for the next few weeks and should be very quite from mid December ish.

Thanks for the info Mac. It makes sence , I'm hopin to get to it before mid December but if its later will all the flats be gone or will the smaller flats still stay on the beachs. Will The sea trout and bass also head away?

Hey Dan,

They smaller flats should be around the beaches and you can still get an Odd one through to January in the Estuarys, but they do start heading offshore soon.

Not too sure about the Sea Trout, but there would still be a chance of meeting a Bass

Funny you say that I was there with another lad and we fished into the night on a coming tide thinking we would be full of fish but no. One flat and two coalie. Only difference was the beach was flat clam no wind and no surf and it was freezing cold. Would that make such a difference :?: .
