Mostly getting "Darwin Awards" type stories:

Had to lug (pardon the pun) a genset on and off site today through thick muck. (quit the tech support work, now working as a spark) Have decided it's less painful to just shell out a few squid to my local tackle dealer.....

While it would be interesting to see if this would work, it's probably not worth the risk or effort. Mind you, I'm guaranteed a few belts in this line of work. Left hand in pocket for more reasons than one....

Has anyone thought of using an inverter.

(12Vdc - 240VAC)
Only problem is the life of the battery and the obvious electrocution of yourself.

Looking at some of the posts on this thread I am beginning to regret my initial contribution.

So if you would indulge me I would like to say "Don't bring high voltage near salt water". It is so far beyond stupid it is insane

. High voltage, low resistance makes for high current and death. So again "Don't bring high voltage near salt water".

My initial plan was for low voltage, keeping me safe and the lugworm alive. The idea is to make the burrow uncomfortable for the worm forcing them to the surface. The only idea I saw from the thread that might be worth pursuing was to use a pulsed source, but keeping it low voltage.

Finally I just want to repeat "DON'T BRING HIGH VOLTAGE NEAR THE SALT WATER" .

hmmmm.... all this talk about electrical devices made me curious to invent something nifty and nice...
