Lovely Bass lads well done...

Im a bit confused though as an amatuer fisherman,

Is Bass an all year round fish ?

hi ed you can get them most of the year around some spots down south and around the kerry coast

No, it's not. There's a closed season from the middle of May to the middle of June.

Yeah the poor ol Cork/waterford boyos are havin a hard time of it these days with the cod gone!! they'll just have to put up with ray bas pollock coalies etc.. etc.. BUT at least we have pin whitting :roll:

Well done lads glad you caught Some fish, that mark is probably one of the best known marks in waterford often seen 6-7 groups of lads fishing it and blanking, timing was good though nice and mild, lug is a must me thinks cheers to cortaz for the bait supply fine magic worms 8)

excellent results lads. two beauts. dont you just love it when a plan comes together :D cut in to steaks and in to a nice batter :wink: you will have them asking at home everytime you go fishing did you get any bass :lol:

Nice fishing lads guess all roads will start to lead south now .Hopefully the next trip will produce some bigger fish for ye as that beach does have a few from time to time.

Kev was thinking of cooking it when I got home but had to wait till yesterday :P

May i suggest a cookery book maybe one of Darina Allen's or Jamie Oliver's im sure you will find a few pics and nice recipes they are cookery books afterall and not fishing report sections :lol: :lol:
