Lovely Bass lads well done...

Im a bit confused though as an amatuer fisherman,

Is Bass an all year round fish ?

thanks for the comments lads it was great to be able to tick the bass from the list so early in the year if only all plans worked out this well

hi ed you can get them most of the year around some spots down south and around the kerry coast

No, it's not. There's a closed season from the middle of May to the middle of June.

Well done lads glad you caught Some fish, that mark is probably one of the best known marks in waterford often seen 6-7 groups of lads fishing it and blanking, timing was good though nice and mild, lug is a must me thinks cheers to cortaz for the bait supply fine magic worms

excellent results lads. two beauts. dont you just love it when a plan comes together

cut in to steaks and in to a nice batter

you will have them asking at home everytime you go fishing did you get any bass

Nice fishing lads guess all roads will start to lead south now .Hopefully the next trip will produce some bigger fish for ye as that beach does have a few from time to time.

May i suggest a cookery book maybe one of Darina Allen's or Jamie Oliver's im sure you will find a few pics and nice recipes they are cookery books afterall and not fishing report sections
