Well Davy,Ronald and myself have spent quite a bit of time trying different flies in different situations and seem to have found a couple that are doing the buisness, everyone else is quite capable of doing the same themselves.
I didnt spend all that time trying things out just to benefit someone who is too lazy to do it themselves.

Fair enough but I think your missing the point of this site. It's not like giving away a mark or anything, or that it's an endangered species. loads of people share their knowledge here thank God and I for one appreciate it and try where I can to help back. But it's your perogative I suppose :D

Something to bear in mind here is that Colin, Davy and Ronald have had some bad experiences giving away information especially marks.

As i am sure everyone can appreciate, no doubt that has made them a bit more wary of giving out information.

Alex

P.S. No i am not trying to speak for them and they are capable of saying it themselves. But hey, i happened to be online now.

I didnt spend night after night trying out different patterns, sometimes going a couple of weeks without catching a fish just to give the info away to people I dont know on a forum.
If that upsets anyone then i will just have to try live with myself

Why not go out and give it a go?

P.S I wasnt refering to you or anyone else on this thread as lazy

colin,

your bang on there mate , you have put in the hard work and now are reaping the rewards , thats all part of the buzz , especially when you are targetting a specific quarry..........people will just have to go and work it out for themselves.......fair play to you mate.

ps , I believe you might know a mate of mine from Bangor , Simon McCormick ?
