I haven't seen or heard of too many people having cod sessions that good this year. I think i'll move to east cork for next years season. Lots of very nice fish there. Well done. You'll have to invest in a new freezer if that kind of fishing keeps up.

Even one bass at the moment would be very welcome
I wasn't expecting a session like that on Sunday - I thought I had a chance of a few since it has fished so well over a couple of hours the previous evening but I have never had a session anywhere near as good as thatevan699 wrote:I haven't seen or heard of too many people having cod sessions that good this year. Thanks guys,
My left arm was still aching two days later - I am not used to hauling in so many fish.thelegend wrote:well done on some super fishing rockhunter yer arms be like popeyes come Bass season
It's still a bit early - and if rockling are about its a sure sign that the bass are not there.red wrote:i hit 2 Bass marks last week but nothing showing. rockling most casts but no silver fellas yet

Re: East Cork sessions 6th-21st February 2010
Thanks Dave, Youghal is fishing very well at the moment, but who knows if the cod will be there next year. Last winter they were extremely rare, I only caught two 30 cm codling, but this year they are like mackerel. Whereas whiting were very plentyful last winter but are very scarce this year.eyesreilly wrote:Frank what can I say![]()
