Super fishing Frank....48 cod in one session :D . Now imagine if that was a bass session :lol: .

I haven't seen or heard of too many people having cod sessions that good this year. I think i'll move to east cork for next years season. Lots of very nice fish there. Well done. You'll have to invest in a new freezer if that kind of fishing keeps up. :D
Species 2014: whiting, coalie, pouting, codling, pollack, ballan wrasse, dab, poor cod, mackerel, grey gurnard, conger, ling, cuckoo wrasse, launce, common skate, bass, scad, garfish, blue shark

Species 2015: Ballan wrasse, poor cod, pollack, ling, flounder, turbot, mackerel, whiting, lsd, dab, grey gurnard, pouting, cuckoo wrasse, cod

I wasn't expecting a session like that on Sunday - I thought I had a chance of a few since it has fished so well over a couple of hours the previous evening but I have never had a session anywhere near as good as that :shock: :shock: :shock:
If you are living in Cork City you are not that far from Youghal :wink:

A fantabalistic few sessions you had there, Great to see the pictures maks a mann want to get out and do a bit :)

Great stuff but leave a few for the rest of us :D.

thats serious going with the codling frank. some nice dinners there for ye.

i hit 2 Bass marks last week but nothing showing. rockling most casts but no silver fellas yet

My left arm was still aching two days later - I am not used to hauling in so many fish.

It's still a bit early - and if rockling are about its a sure sign that the bass are not there.

Frank what can I say :?: :?: ,,,,,,,,,,what a report,,,,,,it just got better and better,any one of those sessions would be a dream session for me at the moment :roll: :roll: ,,,,,,,,,,,i'm definitely keeping a couple of days leave for next Feb in Youghal if i've any wages left after next Decembers Budget. :lol: :lol:,,,,,,,,,,and i'll be giving Bhoy32 a call :lol: :lol:

Yeah i heard them Bhoy32 crabs are superb,Coated in anglers glue the cod havent got a hope... :lol:

Thanks Dave, Youghal is fishing very well at the moment, but who knows if the cod will be there next year. Last winter they were extremely rare, I only caught two 30 cm codling, but this year they are like mackerel. Whereas whiting were very plentyful last winter but are very scarce this year.

They are mighty fine crab alright :D :D
