One of the best feelings there is..... I used to fish a place in Clare that was like that. If I didn't catch in the first few casts I moved on.....
I will be live baiting at mark from the Boat next week so I'll let you know how I get on. The livebait, might help winkle out a slightly bigger fish, but you never know. Tides will be less than Ideal.

Definitely worth a go. We tried it once but a seal took the mack and nearly the rod with it.
I have had a few very large bass follow a popper in but no takes. We have also spooked some large bass to so I know they are there.
Wouldnt worry about the tide so much, just try to fish it at dawn and dusk if ye can.
