Or you could go to your local auto factors and get number plate backing for a couple of euro.

See it miles away .

Sleeping out for cheap fishing gear?? Ah here, I'm not sure I'd be that desparate. They could have just gone to Deansgrange. I was first there this morning at 8.10am having got out of the scratcher about 15 minute earlier and got all the gear I needed. Some ok stuff to be had. Of course, I've yet to try any of it out. But I got a couple of Spinning beach rods with reel and line and a box of stuff (rigs, weights, lures etc.). Rod & box of stuff came to €33. It's a good way of introducing new people to the sport. I'm sure the rod & reel set is more than adequate for a beginner. I certainly spent a hell of a lot more on my first set and about 20 times more on my first load of gear.

Went down to get them but they never got them in. Picked up a packet of the lights.

Got the knives alright. They look grand. 3 knives, a swiss army knife (seems solid enough) and a chopping board in a carrying case for a tenner.

Even if they last a season they are a worthwhile purchase.

A buddy of mine is french and bought one of everything i think. He reckons some of the stuff is much handier for fishing there than here. He's delighted coz he got all this years birthday pressies for his father, uncles and brothers out of the way in one go

Ill have to try one of the other branches for the knives, handy as a backup cos for some reason they normally end up missing from my bag at the end of a session.
