I got a few cod in Youghal in February, the largest was 2.5 lb.
But the best I got as a 3lb cod on an East Cork beach last Sunday on a fairly rough night.

Cod season Winter 2013/14: 117 cod (best fish: 6.5 lbs)
Cod season Winter 2014/15: 193 cod (best fish: 4.25 lbs)

had a few on the wicklow beaches but they didnt turn up in numbers for me then again spring fishing can be good had a cracking charter off kilmore quay last may with over 50 on one mark biggest 8 lb and average 4-5 lb ,lug was the wonder bait roll on may and a good day out :)

only went out once 4 cod and caught a codling. 1st 1 ever, so hopefully more sessions next yr and more cod :D :D :D
