No problems getting bait there either  Dave's tackle is just at the top of the road.

On reflection, it would be better to leave the Rosslare meet as it is as it is peak time for Smooth Hound and tope.

How about a sortie down the 5th of May? Bass season still ok too?

I'd be up for that. I have visitors but I might be able to nip out for a few hours. ;)

Raven point

Guys i just wanted to say that i think you can have a really good session here. If you could get one or two people to have a look at the venue first as the bars change on a yearly basis in terms of backfilling on tides etc.

There are some expanses of sand that could prove problematic if say a fog came down and people became disoriented. I do believe it has the potential to be a great session but i (open to correction here) feel it might fish better during July or September - this leaves a good stretch of time for planning the considerable logistics for bait fishing.

best

Is it possible to drive along the smaller tracks closer to the point, at least as far as the where the forest begins (near the "n" of "Raven") ... ?

Nope
On the left is the Wildfowl Reserve/North Slob and access through the forest is usually blocked off by a barrier

Yes, keep moving it closer to me. I'm fed up with driving to compos.

Any problems with camping or lighting BBQs on a wildlife reserve??
