Kayak Gear

#1 Post by Big Dave »

Just bought a kayak with the idea of fishing off it (great idea in winter), just wondering if people are using wetsuits/drysuits and if anywhere cheap to get them.
Entries now open for the Henry's Tackle Shop All Ireland Shore Smooth Hound Championships on July 18h hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

Winter fishing I'd suggest a good Drysuit kayaking aint a dry affair. Don't know where ya'd get a cheap one tho.

All the best and welcome to the sport.

id avoid cheap online ones becase you cant try them on xl from one manufacture is not xl from another if you must get one online try one on in a shop say you dont want it for some reson make a note of the size ie leg waist and chest bfore you buy online i got my wetsuit 3/5 thats 3mill on the arms and legs and 5on the chest and stomack. i dont know much about dry suits but id say there over kill i use the wetsuit for snorkaling and can last about 2 hrs in the depts of winter with gloves and hood and booty think i got the lot for 150 a few years ago
