People:me and some other competitors

Duration:1-5

Tide:full in at 3

Weather:flat calm and sunny

Bait:rag, lug, mackerel and sandeel

Rigs:two hook loop clipped down, three hook flapper and a flyer

Results:1 plaice, 3 dabs and 10 dogfish

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:
my first few casts came back untouched so looking around i noticed one guy was getting dogs so the thought came to mind, mackerel, sandeel, clipped down rigs and a flyer, soon afterwards i was onto a nice plaice of 27cm, measured in, i kept going and the following two casts resulted in two doggie double shots, lucky me!. for about two hours every cast resulted in a doggie until they disappeared. so i quickly switched over to a three hook flapper and baited it up with a lug and small head hooked rag. dabs where hammering the baits but i only managed to hook three of them. looking at the day i thought this would be a day of hardship but it turned out good.over the whole beach the species that where caught where bass,dogfish,flounder,dab,plaice and smoothhound. thank you croppyboy for the advice it certainly helped out.

Well done gazo thats a good result yesterday, the dogs must have been there early because when stephen tried for them they were gone. However he stuck on the flats all day and got 14 fish.
