Just to let you know Shannon town angling club are having their first competition of the year in poulnasharry (west bank) on march 6th with check in at 11am. It costs 30 euro to join for the year which includes IFSA affiliation and insurance. Theres a competition at least once a month and large two day competition out in carrigaholt over the august weekend. Competition entry costs 10 euro plus 2 euro for an optional largest fish pool. All competitions are catch and release with most competitions points are given on weight and number of fish to size caught. Nearly all competitions are on a Sunday between 12-4pm with check in at 11am and are on the clare side of the Shannon estuary. Get in contact if your interested in joining.
