Blue Shark

Fishing off Ardmore Co Waterford on Sunday 9,caught 7 blues and a lot of good gar fish.

Blues out 3.8miles from the nearest land dept 150ft

nice going hear they are plenty going been got a lot futher out of tramore tho i think.where they any size?

lads, how do you know how far out you actually have to go to try for a blue shark? i presume you could actually keep going out and out, when do you know when to stop?

I reckon head out till 50% of your fuel is gone....... that way you can always get back in.... lol.
here in the south coast we usually head out 8-12 miles in around 300' before setting up a drift, having said that, this year the sharks have been in closer, 3-5miles
