I think ur definitley in the right place there. There was a comp held there last month but thru the grapevine I only heard of one bass being caught. I have tried on a few occasion along the same stretch but i only lifted dogfish. I dont really have much experience of the place my self. good luck in the future

You're defintitely in the right place. What lures have you been using? If you're thinking of heading out again, drop me a PM and I'll put you right, maybe even join you. Carlingford lough is a challenging place to fish. It's a question of finding the fish. Usually if you stick to the area around the spit (Balagan point) on a flooding spring tide you'll eventually hit bass. Anyway, if you want any more advice give me a shout.

Mick, I live on the other side Cranfield, Greencastle etc, I know a guy who has 7 Bass over the last three weeks from Cranfield point the biggest at 5lb.

I don't really have much of a clue, if use guys are looking to head out for an evenings Bass fish on your side I'd be more than ou for it.
