People:alby and me

Duration:5 hrs

Tide:falling

Weather:fine some drizzle

Bait:crab wraps rag lug maddies sandeel squid mac

Rigs:2+3 hook clipped

Results:me blanked alby 1 ray 24

Catch and Release:: Yes/No



Report:
what a mare i had went down expecting to catch a few fish found out the beach was fishing awful day went down hill from there i had 6 snap offs 10 birdies had to change the line on 2 reels
alby had a lovely painted ray of 24 cms but they had to be 30 to count

went home straight from beach 1 zone won by 10 fish our zone 4 fish dont know how tibbenara fished


roll on next week cant have that kind of luck again

As far as i know there were gurnard smoothie dab dogs ray and i head one of the lads on ballinoulart had a bass

unlucky croppy, thats some amount of bad luck there in one day. sometimes when u have that luck u catch a real stonker of a fish. good luck and i hope u catch a beaut

Flounder, dabs, dogs, pup smoothies and pup tope, bass, ray (palm sized) , plaice and a good number of small tub gurnard.

Most of the fish were small i.e. sub 30cms. Longest fish was a tope of around 44cm

Did neither of you read the rules no... - size limits for all species are 20cm.

Yes zone 2 in ballinouart was a stinker with 4 fish winning it, there was a lot of blanks in the zone fishing in close proved fruitless early on with most fish caught at extream distance. i was one of the lucky one's to get a fish a 33 boot lace smoothie. I hope things pick up for the jimmy smith.

Cahore/Old Bawn/Ballinoulart hasn't been fishing well at all in daylight recently. Getting anything there was an achievement!!

all species except ray and eels are 20 cm rays have to be 30 and eels 100

they gave us a sheet with the rules on it and we checked against the sheet
