People:just me(and half the polish community until just after dark)

Duration:4 hours 20:00-0:00

Tide:fished till low tide

Weather:clear and calm

Bait:mack and sandeel

Rigs:3hook boom and 1hook clipped down

Results:one mack and a plague of whiting

Catch and Release:: Yes(whiting)No(mackerel)

Report:
went down to see what was about.. slipway was plagued with people so just set up the spinnig rod and caught one mackerel... people were shocked to see me give up after just one fish.. slowly set up beachcaster and waited for the masses to disperse..
when the crowd disappeared(after dark) ended up lobbing cast to 60 yrds(pots out around 70-80 yrds :( ) nothing was taking sandeel so set up spinning rod with 3hook scratchy rig... whiting were coming in 3's and within seconds of the lead hitting the bottom..

oh well at least there is something there.. god only knows what happened to the doggie population that used to be there :cry: :cry: :cry:

would you not go down at dark - when you know the crowds will be leaving?

maybe ill go feeding crabs in ballyloughan :lol: :lol: :lol:
