What brands should i use for rigs. and is there any colour better to use. and size of swivals at the 2 ends please. what is the length of a normal trace body 9 say a bomber or 3 hook scratcher rig

I think the Usual Rule is 80lb Swivels for the Body, and 40lb for the Snoods. Try using 20-30lb line for snoods, Should cover your average session.

Most of my Rigs are made with Mustad Hooks and Swivels. I don't usually look for certain brands when it comes to Crimps. 50lb Greased Weasel for Rig body, and Amnesia for Snoods.

There is no definite 'best' brand to buy Pooks but generally System Unitrace, Gemini and mustad do very good bits for Terminal tackle.

The old debate between whether a clear or coloured line is better will rage on, I personally believe that it doesnt really matter to the fish, as long as they're getting a feed.
