New Boat rod

#1 Post by bigstyle »

I got an Greys Excursion 20-30lb 8ft 6 piece rod as a pressie last night.
Looks great and feels nice and light.
Just wondering if anyone has used one?Anyone caught a tope on one?

I fished alongside a welsh guy using one a couple of weeks ago up in Killybegs, he teamed it with a FS reel and was more than pleased with it. 20-30lb class is more than adequate for Tope.
Fluff chucking is the new black..... Rampant Wreckfish is a fly angler in denial :D
