xcast

Any of the lads tried doing the xcast in the tournaments, just wondering is that the way big Danny casts never had the pleasure of seeing him in the flesh "no sorry I'll rephrase that" live.
Kstaff has always been the new black in my eyes anyway!!!!!!!

Indomitable spirit - never giving up or wanting to give up.

How ya Paul,

havn't seen it myself ( the xcast) except on vids of other guys using it.
I don't think that's what Danny uses exactly ( open to correction) but I do know this, it's an awesome sight live to see him chuck a lead!

Danny doesn't throw the Xcast, although it looks similar. Don't think there is a name for what Danny throws..... Maybe the fecking long cast

Danny does do the x cast we all try to copy him some better than others, i have cast with him at the grand prixs and it is an awesome sight, he is posted on u tube casting 312 yards you would be better watching this and judging for yourself, his style is unique and very very powerful,

if his style is unique then it ain't the x cast coz a fair few people do that. looking at videos of Danny's cast and the x cast(as done by Keith white) i think they are similar but not exactly alike.

IMO Danny is the true inventer of the X style, and it has not changed as far as i can see, others are variations on his style.

That post of the 312 was put up by me, although captured by PaddyC on this site.

I would agree that he was the first person to throw that style, but the Xcast seems to have a totally different starting position. There also seems to higher inswing with the xcast....

I'm not expert, just posting my thoughts on the various videos I have seen.
