People:Me and Ritchie

Duration:0900hrs-1700hrs

Tide:

Weather:wet

Bait:rag , squid , mussel and lure

Rigs:flapper

Results:dogs,flattie,rockling and 2 bass

Catch and Release:: Kept 1 bass(deep throat hooked)

Report:Went to Kilmichael Strand with Ritchie this morning.....not much action at the beginning....no action on lure...tried everythings...got a few flattie ,doggy and 1 rockling.....as only a few bait left....got 1 bass approximately 16 inch on squid....no pic as it was raining.....the fish was safely return.....not long after that Ritchie got his bass not far out in the surf on rag worm left over.....this one slightly smaller but gave a good fight.....decided to kept this one as it was deep hooked and keep on capsizing after a few attempt to release it.After all, its a nice session and got my 3rd bass and first on bait.

Was their much weed round was down their two weeks ago got plauged by it got one bass between me and mate and lost loads of traces even though we tryied a couple of different spots.

Yes theres weed around but not very much.Can say that only top water lure will survive the condition,not even a shallow diver,but only in the cove,if u fish from the rock to the sea there will be no prob with the weed.The bass we cough are from the the small cove very close to the shore,had to use simple pennell rig 'stupid paternoster' with with very short snood.Btw,we fish with light spinning gear from the rock wch is quite high,but still lost a few rigs tho.GC,what bait did you use for the bass last time??Crab???
