Red Gill, Cork Harbour - 14th August

#1 Post by Pat »

People:Me

Duration:19:00 - 22:00

Tide:HT 19:29

Weather:Moderate to strong SW, moderating, had been raining but cleared up

Bait:Ragworm

Rigs:Float rig, shrimp rig, tobys

Results:2 GG Mullet

Report:Went in search of Golden Greys and found them. For the first two hours had very tentative bites but failed to hook them. Then in a magical 1/2 hour had plenty of hook ups but only managed to land two. The smaller of the two hovered @ 1.5lbs on the scale. Consequently, I held onto him. It later transpired that he just failed to make the specimen mark.
