Anyone ever caught a sunfish/heard of one caught??
Lads
Just wondering has anyone ever heard of a sunfish being caught on rod and line here?
Reason I'm asking is one was caught from a charter boat out of Spiddal on Sunday, and its the first time I've heard of one being caught by anglers...

Its called fishing, not catching. If it was called catching it wouldn't be fishing!

Yes, it was on Kevin's boat, and he did say where, but I won't be giving out any of his marks

Around 13 years ago one was caught in the Kilcar Boat Comp, took baited hokkai's. Aside from it and the one on this sites album I'd never heard of another having being caught

Sunfish tagged for first time in Irish climate change project
Barry Roche, Southern Correspondent

They believe the project may provide vital information on climatic changes in the Irish and European waters.
