West Cork, Kerry etc

#1 Post by col »

Hi, I'm planning on getting away for a few days, leaving either tomorrow evening or thursday morning.
As of yet no destination has been decided upon but the intention is to go anywhere in the west Cork or Kerry direction. Would possabley head to east cork area either
Will most likely be staying in a hotel somewhere (any self catering is most likely gone by now :( ).

Can anybody suggest an area that should be worth a go (or even a hotel!). Cortmac,Castletownbere, Clonakilty, Dingle etc are all in contention. The weather forcast is here: http: //www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/dayforecast.asp?zipcode=Cork&day=3

Open to any type of fishing really. A session on the wrasse would be nice as I'm yet to fish for them this year!( )A chance at Ray, flats and of course bass would also be great. One thing though, my beachcaster is broken so if distance is required it may be a problem. Stuck with a carp rod and heavy beachcaster.

p.m. if you'd prefer. any advice or info would be welcome :D
