mullet fishing from rock marks?!
mullet are number one on this years hitlist after seeing some large fish patrolling on of my local rock marks. i've been doing a bit of reading on them and it often suggests groundbaiting the area for 2-3 days before fishing?!! who's got that time on the hands? what i'm wondering is am i wasting my time groundbaiting the mark with a bread/mack mash and fish straight away with breadflake? also there is another local mark that holds hundreds of mullet. this time its a shallow muddy beach, just wondered if anyone could suggest what tactics to use in such an area?!! sorry for the stupid questions, just wanna get this right. thanks in advance for any replies!! :)

thats good reading fenitbob, but in answer to your question no there is no harbour close to these 2 marks i mentioned so i pressume i have to force them on the feed?! but if that is the case how is it that some fly anglers have alot of joy without the aid of groundbaiting but the boys using breadflake need to groundbait??! also i noticed a fly for sale that resembles a piece of breadflake for mullet fishing, so do these fly-fishers have to groundbait before they fish this fly??! also does anyone have any ideas of fishing the shallow muddy bay i mentioned that holds mullet??! even more questions!!

i was just thinking and the rock mark in question is a favourite for mackie bashers. assuming they are gutting their fish at the rocks maybe the way to go be a small strip of mackerel as hook bait. i guess i'll just bring plenty of bread and mack and hopefully get them on the feed. thanks for your replies lads. :)
