mullet fishing from rock marks?!

#1 Post by rab01 »

mullet are now number one on my hitlist for the year after seeing some large fish patrolling around a local rock mark i fish. i've done a bit of reading up on them and on many websites it suggests groundbaiting an area for 2-3 days before fishing?!! who's got that time on there hands? would it be a waste of my time arriving at the mark, groundbaiting with a bread/mackerel mash and fishing with breadflake straight away? sorry for the stupid questions lads, i just wanna get this right. also there is an area local to me that holds hundreds of mullet and they make themselves be seen, often jumping clean out of the water. the thing is its a shallow muddy beach, i just wondered what tactics any of you's would use in this type of mark? thanks in advance for any replies! :)
