just lookin for your opinion lads on how frozen velvet crabs would compare to fresh peelers? i no fresh peelers would be best but would frozen velvet do as a backup??

if its the bait box frozen velvelts i woundnt touch them, ive found there absolutely useless, try fresh hermits.

Gotta agree. Frozen velvets are grade A crap. It you can't source fresh peeler then there may be a tackle shop near you who do frozen peeler. KB Baits in Cork does them for example.

iv used bait box frozen peelers before and they really were crap.. turned to sludge in my hands, the thing is i cant source fresh peelers just at the moment to target smuts so was looking for a good alternative, got my hands on a few frozen velvets so i said ill give them a bash tonight.. was even considering those gulp bait artifical peeler crabs
