huss session no.1

People:me (the one and only)

Duration:20:00 - 0:15

Tide:low at 21:29

Weather:south westerly, with a bit of rain after dark

Bait:mackerel and squid

Rigs:pulley, 3hook boom,

Results: 15 mackerel and 2 whiting

Catch and Release:: No (except whiting)

Report: went down to see what was about.. not much it seems... saw the birds going mad to the right of me so out with the spinning rod and picked up 13 mackerel. fishinmidget appeared and begged me to use the flyrod.. so quick hook change and on with a size 2 and a thin bit of belly bait and midget pulled out one before continuing on home and i pulled one out before the mackerel dissapeared...
was even getting them at less than a rod length with the spinner on beach/shingle..
as tide was starting to move back in i got the fright of my life when a large otter ran past me and into the water just as i was about to cast, nearly scared the living crap out of me  ... good to see them around though 8)
pulled out 2 whiting while scratching about, no size in them though :?

well this is the first huss session, and on the huss count its a blank (thank god for mackerel and whiting eh..)
