Ring sizes/alconite rings broken

#1 Post by Donagh »

I've broken a few fugi alconite rings on my 13 foot Anyfish Anywhere Beach rod. How are these sized so I can order from veals.

These seem to break much easier than the old BNHGs.

Donagh,

If you have broken the tip guide also....make sure you check what tube size you need, the BMNAT tips come in 4 or 5 sizes.

Don't I know it

I thought the alconites were class when I saw them first but now I'm not so sure so for the places I'm fishing. The other two rods I've used in the Estuary have BNHGs and have clattered off the rocks a fair few times over the years with out them cracking. I guess I'll have to be more careful.

I'll check the tip diameter and go over the other rings with a cotton bud. When it comes to rod components I don't know a whole lot so I really appreciate the help.

Had the same problem with the bmnag's myself. Have a couple that need replacing on the Triplex...
