In the search of bass

We set out from belfast around 7.45 and arrived in greenore for about 9.15am. The wife to be made a mountain of sandwiches and a lovely picnic.
seen some people fishing the point. what looked like they were spinning for mackerel.
spotted the andy's battle bus. I was speaking to him for a while before he set out for the two day BAI comp (good Luck Andy). I have heard through the grape vine that it was a great days fishing.
I got the beach shelter set up and cast out the rods about 70 yards and approx 120 yards. .
not a thing until 1 hour after high tide when I was plagued with dogfish. I lost count at about 10. all were returned fighting fit. all dogfish where caught on mackerel, sandeel.

unfortunatley no bass caught. we had one fight that seemed like a bass but it throw the hook out mid way through. This is the first time at this venue, amazing scenery and good to get out again. Thanks to the lough's agency fella for handy hints and tips and divulging a couple of new marks to try.

Cant beat a good feed when out fishing and the company of a female mine gets bored stiff unlucky with the bar of silver its only a matter of time before you nail a few :)
