wicklow beaches

Anyone no of any beaches worth fishing in wicklow this weekend.Fished Cahore last weekend and only managed 2 miniture ling and a crab

are these minature ling not in fact rockling that everyone bar me eems to catch

probably. less then a foot long, rounded just before the gills while eel like to tail? Caught them from the pier about 40 yards to the sheltered side with lug if u wanna try

Yes that sounds like a rockling delmonte often mistaken for small ling. And no liamdenn your not a lone I to have yet to catch this seemingly common species.

Hi,
If you're in the Cahore area, you could try the beach on the far side of the headland. You can either walk over from the pier or drive around. Although parking can be tricky near the beach if the ground is muddy.

An alternative is to try the pier at courtown.

try the beach at the other side of the headland than the pier, bring lug and fish a 3 hok flapper between 30 and 100 yards out and you ll bag up on good flounder.
