Sorrento/Nudist beach again 23/07/07

People:Me

Duration:6ish till around quarter past 7

Tide:Full in with a bit of a chop.

Weather:Nice and sunny

Fly:Duster fly and other baitfish patterns

Set Up:10lb flouro leader about 8ft.

Results:Around 10 small pollack.

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:Got about ten pollack, went back to the same spot I caught them last time, There were fish boiling on the surface when I got there but they were only small pollack put on a bigger deciever to see if i could get a bigger fish but had no luck with that, Changed over to some other patterns. The duster fly performed very well on its first use had pollack smashing it on the surface just as I was about to lift it off to cast again. Used Flourocarbon for the first time seemed to make a difference got more takes as the fly hit the surface. There were loads of big launce again there were sandeels falling out of the pollacks mouths.

Duster fly looks nice Jack. Looks like it's all Marabou tied in layers

Cheers Jack, I'll get a few tied up. It looks like an epoxy head might do the business n them as well.

The epoxy could give it a better action in the water make the head sink more, the version in the pic is not very long only about an inch and a bit you might want to make it a bit longer could work better. Good luck.
