rigs/bait for ray

Hey all,

want to break my duck and catch a ray

any advice on best rigs/bait/venue down south

pulley rigs, clipped downs, running ledgers.. sandeel seems to be the best bait for ray with mackerel a close second, some nice ray marks in Kerry and up in Galway

Dune end in tramore on a calm day, fish fromn low water up...its never guaranteed but worth a go... sandeel or mac and squid combo... when species hunting i always go 1 hook down clipped up...

Darker gloomy weather and they seem to prefer it to be calm.

i have a mark where they fish best in sunny weather with a f4 sw. funny how diff marks fish differently. i like to use 60lb 4/0 pulleys with mack and squid cocktail baits
