Report:
11 members turned up today for our 7th comp of the year. This mark requires quite a bit of a trek to get to so packing light is the order of the day.
Sean and I arrived at the mark just in time for the start. I started off by deep spinning for pollack using a variety of jelly worms, shads, sand-eels and lures. The third cast of the day saw me hook into the pollack which put up a spirited fight. 'Happy Days' I thought, the deep spinning method would prove successful - NOT!!! I only managed to hook into one other fish with this method for the rest of the day and lost it down in the rocks.
Sean was having some success fishing at his feet with rag - the biggest surprise of the day was this cod - beautifully coloured -

I touched for a wrasse soon after this but it was only 26cms and therefore did not count. As the tide filled, the fishing slowed up considerably...
Nearly all anglers managed a few fish today with W. Twyford 1st, J. Snoddy 2nd - well done lads.
Tight Lines.
