Hi guys,
Just wanted to say thanks to ppl who posted about fishing the boat launching slip in Salthill, Galway. I was over there on a weeks holiday with the family, and took a couple of rods and a bit of tackle with me, intending to fish for my first shore caught huss, and maybe a ray. I didn't manage a huss, but came very close to landing a thornback, and I also landed a 12lb Conger from the foul ground about 60 yards in front of the slip. That was my first shore caught conger, so I am well pleased with it :D
I lost the ray as I was trying to land him, not a big one, but a ray none the less.
Thanks guys, and keep up the good work :)
Matt

Hiya Sean
I have had a break from sea fishing for a while and have been doing alot of coarse fishing. I think after this past week, I am ready to start it up again, although I am gonna need some practise for the codling bashing in Greystones in November :)
Good to see you are still about mate, take care and see ya soon

Morning guys
I fished for macks on the Sunday and Monday, had one on Sunday, but blanked on Monday. Fished bait on Tuesday and Wednesday, had the Conger on Tuesday, and the ray on Wednesday. All of the sessions were in the evening from about 19:30 until about 22:00. Thats all the wife would allow me, I didn't want to get back late and get grounded.
Cheers
