Whats up with this place just lately,i went down last tuesday night and fished from 11pm to 4:30am and caught one bloody fish all night (rockling),this was on a warm night with the sea as flat as anything, this place used to be good, whats happening? are the trawlers to blame?

An all nighter at carrick harbour is a waste of time unless you like catching conger and pouting.

The pouting are caught when you cast from the end of the pier over towards the windbreak as close to the rocks as possible best bait ragworm as for the conger there caught right at the corner of the pier straight down or a gentle lob best bait fresh mackerel.
