They re a good reel IMHO even tho i am more bias towards the Daiwa product.....but if i have a choice,i will go for saltist anytime. They re the same class reel.Saltist is an affordable version of saltiga, while torrium is an affordable version of Trinidad/Ocea Jigger.IF u relly gonna used that reel in extreme and to the max....go for saltist instead of torrium.....the review from one of the anti shimano dealer....heheheh...

Yeah...6.2:1 is fast Mr Green....but how bout saltist 6.4:1 ratio plus u get more cranking power with Digigear.....and less plastic internal component.... :D ......the torium is a nice reel....but if compared to his rival....i will go saltist anytime....never heard any of the guys(shimano man) that using it have an issue with it either....its more on the comparison on performance and material on the same class reel.....the down side of this Torrium is more on the cranking power....and the plastic parts...other than that....its a nice and affordable reel to use....cheerss...

Mr Green dear...you cant go wrong with any of this jigging reel.....they re design to be tuff ......its more than sufficient for the species that u have here in ire...unless u decide to go for a big bluefin.....my friend had landed a 28kg Giant Trevally and a 30kg plus Dogtooth Tuna with his torrium on jig.....its just the comparison between the daiwa man and shimano man....cheeerrrsss...
