possibly mullet jumping, fished there last year over high and saw hundreds of the buggers..
all you can do is persist and hope that the next cast might be something bigger and better :D

saleens
Hi
Try moving down the beach to the roads heading for Brownstown head, as you can encounter bass there where it is a bit packed on the saleens...

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...
2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks

Saleen
Alright man.. Saleen will fish better over the low tide and very first of the rise.. If you are looking to spin/plug for bass you could try further up on fitzgerald strand its the top of saleen, or head over to kilfarsy on the dropping tide walk right of the beach is really rough rocky holding plenty of fish, watch the tide though as you can get cut off. Enjoy!"

well greengiant,
i was down past the saleens today, down at brownstown. gave a couple of hours on either side of the head and didn't catch any fish, but i did get one of those nike 90 leather footballs, it just came in on a wave in front of me. someone must've lost it on tramore beach. tried a variety of lures, but no joy. still though, they tell me its good to be out in the fresh air, and i'll probably give it a bash again over the next couple of days. there were a few other people around havin the same luck as me.
if i start catchin i'll let ya know where and what with,
dave
