Duration:8/11p.m.

Tide:l.w.@8.00

Weather:wind/rain

Bait:lugs/peelers

Rigs:pennel rigged runners

Results:9.25,4,3lbs bass 1 fluke
went lookin for a specimen bass would have done better if the weather had been finer, weed and dirty water. nothing for the first 2 hours then jon landed a bass of 4lb. went to take a pic. returned to find that 1 of the lines was slack and uptide of were i had cased,had to be a bass!... took up trhe slack and thightened into a solid fish that went mental.. got things under control and soon had a fine bass flapping in the shallows, while takin some pics. noticed that the other line had gone slack another bass of 3lb. jon then got a fluke of about 1lb.
all fish were got in 1ft. water 15 yards out for the dusk between 10/11p.m.

Catch and Release:: the large bass had swallowed both hooks and was bleeding from the gills, released the other 2.

Question for you Art. How many specimen bass have you caught? and what was the weight of the heaviest one?

with out checking, 25+
3 over 12 lb,
on the 16/6/97 at quanns dungarvan had 12.5 +11.5lb. while talking to 5 members of the S.R.F.B.
when i used to fish for big bass in the late 80s to the late 90s from aug/nov. most sessions would we ( 3 of us) get fish around 8/10lb. we got 8 1 time between 8/13.5lb.. i had 4 at 8,9,9,11.5 lb.
in 95 got 980+ best 6lb.
in set. 06 had 50,52,56 all over 3lb. spinnin over l.w. in 3 sessions. on flyin C.
got an itch to go for big fish for the rest of the yr. would expect to get 3 + over 10lb.
16 to20 july 96 6 sessions on my own 270 bass to 9.5
first time i ever fished bass i was about 11/12 3 boats with about 15 anglers 5 fish caught i got 4 of em on sandeels..
.......... Pat i could go on all nite .......from 4/06 to april 07 580
i goin to bed/sleep now...1bass 2bass 3bass zzzzzzzzzzzz................................happy days....................i have em.........s..t he got off.............zzzzzzzzzzzzz...
only went fishin 3 times today bass in the a.m., b.trout in the afternoon ,pollock(6lb)macks.for the dusk
