Rosslare 03 July

#1 Post by Pat Spillane »

People:Me

Duration:1800-0010

Tide:2000 ish

Weather: Nice and bright strong W wind

Bait: Crab, lug rag

Rigs: 1 and 2 hook clipped down

Results: Starry smoothie and the inevitable dogs. And 1 Truck

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report: Started around at St Helens but they are doing some work there and there was one of those earth moving trucks going up and down where I was fishing. Took my first cast and set my rod up on the tripod in the water and went back to sort my gear. By chance I looked around to see the truck driving in the water right in front of my rod. I got there just in time to save the situation. A quick move was on the cards.

Rosslare was the nearest spot so I set up down from the cannons. Started catching dogs and smaller starries before a couple of nice fish showed and I got to christen the new Zippy. It went quiet for me just after full tide with just a few dogs. A couple of locals continued getting the odd hound till around 1130. Nothing hectic but enjoyable.

Sorry Sean if I am out of date with last years pose but I'm an old fashioned kind of guy.

Nice pose Pat with your smoothie. 8) I'd love to get a crack at them sometime. :shock:

You should of had your new Zippy leaning on your shoulder too?
